Technical Visits

On the first day of each edition of the International Railway Summit, delegates enjoy a visit, with guided tours and presentations, of important local railway facilities.

During the 6th International Railway Summit in Prague, delegates visited the Czech Railways (ČD) depot responsible for the operation and maintenance of the company’s trains in the Prague region, and learnt about the company’s advanced maintenance technologies. This was followed by a trip to the Czech rail infrastructure manager SŽDC’s Balabenka control centre, which primarily controls long-distance traffic on 2,000km of lines incorporated into the European Railway System.
