Kristjan Piirsalu,

Through his procurement roles, Kristjan has been involved with numerous projects internationally, having had integral involvement in major railway infrastructure projects in the UK, for example, the West Coast Re-modelling and Northern Hub. Before joining the Rail Baltica project, he successfully managed procurement exercises in the energy sector in Estonia. The multi-disciplinary projects, in which he was involved on the procurement side, exceed the value of EUR 2 billion. Kristjan is a full member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply, which is supplemented by certification in Business Administration and Project Management. Since 2018, Kristjan is in charge of the Procurement Department of RB Rail AS and as a CPO, responsible for the overarching procurement policy for the Rail Baltica Global Project.
Sascha Kobes,

Sascha Kobes has been with SupplyOn for 10 years and is responsible as an Account Manager for various globally active industrial companies that integrate and optimize their global processes via SupplyOn. With a clear focus on process optimization and supply chain digitalization, he has led various consulting and implementation projects in the areas of supply chain management, purchasing + strategic sourcing, transportation management and quality management. With his expertise from 20 years in the consulting industry, he has a broad and holistic view of business problems and related use cases and cost drivers.

Mary is a Partner in Deloitte’s Strategy and Analytics Practice, focusing on transport and UK Rail. She has held various senior roles including Strategy and Policy Director for Arriva UK Trains and Managing Director of Chiltern Railways. Prior to joining Arriva, Mary worked in policy and strategy roles in the UK power sector, responsible for understanding and influencing the commercial implications of government policy. She started her career in strategy consultancy, with PwC and Corven.
