Pavel studied at l’École Centrale Paris. He began his career at Lafarge Cement. He then worked for the petrochemical oil refinery group Unipetrol for nine years (member of Board), and in the field of investment funds. In February 2014, he became a member of the Board of Directors of České dráhy, a.s. and, on 1 March 2014, became CFO of ČD. Pavel Krtek has been the Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO of České dráhy, a.s. since 10 November 2014. He has been a member of the Management Committee of Community of European Railway and Infrastructure Companies (CER) since 1 January 2016.
